The Washburn WJ45SCE features a solid Alaskan Sitka Spruce top supported by Quarter Sawn Scalloped Sitka Spruce bracing and beautiful flame maple back, sides and headstock cap. The satin finished mahogany neck provides playing comfort and gold grover 18:1 ratio tuners get and keep you in perfect tune. Added deluxe features are Abalone trim with flame maple binding. Maple has a brighter tone than mahogany or rosewood so it tends to sound clearer and more articulate, especially on this larger jumbo body where it might lose focus with a mellower sounding back and side wood. With its Venetian cutaway, you'll be able to reach the upper frets for soloing or utilizing alternate chord voicings.
